"Be the Right Club Today!"

On the 72nd hole of the 2000 Players Championship Hal Sutton confidently hit a six iron from 179 yards to seal his second Players Championship win.  As he watched the ball in flight these words came out of Sutton’s mouth, “Be the Right Club, Today!”  As the ball landed on the green nearly ten feet from the pin Sutton exclaimed, “Yes!” along with the patented “Hal Sutton Fist Pump”.

Ten years later “Be the Right Club, Today!” has a whole new meaning.  Hal said, “When I hit the shot I knew it was good, but I didn’t want any surprises.  It’s kind of like Tom Watson and his approach shot into 18 at the British Open.  I feel he hit the shot he wanted to hit but it was about 1 foot too long and it cost him the Open Championship.  I was fortunate that I didn’t have any surprises.”

Hal also stated, “The phrase contains two very important words: Right and Today.  Every day we make decisions, choices and to be successful those decisions need to be “Right”.  As I grow older I see that too many times we put off things that we should deal with right now, “Today”.  I have learned that many times success depends on making the “Right” decisions “Today”.”

"Be the Right Club, Today!” is more than a line Hal spoke during the 2000 Players Championship; it is a motto for a way to obtain more from the game of life.

“The process is quick and the price of $70 is more than reasonable, so I highly recommend the profile to players of all levels.  Use the index card process on page 3, and you will improve your game.”
